How is Vidéotron Voice Mail activated?

As a new Vidéotron Voice Mail subscriber, you must activate the service, otherwise it will not take your messages. To initialize the system, dial *98 and follow the instructions. Your temporary password consists of the last four digits of your phone number followed by 99. Example: for 281-1711, your password would be 171199.

Can I listen to my telephone messages on my computer?

The Voice Messages by E-mail service is only available to our residential subscribers; however it will soon by available to our business clientele.

Your telephone messages will automatically be forwarded to your e-mail inbox as an audio attachment (.wav). Just open the file to listen to the message, as if you were on the phone! Visit our site regularly to be update on the launch of this new service!

Can I charge my calls to a 3rd-party number or receive calls charged to a 3rd-party number?

Yes. You can make and receive calls charged to a 3rd-party number. You have access to our operator service for assistance at all times (certain charges apply) for calls charged to a 3rd-party number. Note that, for this type of call, you can use the automated operator service by dialling "0", followed by the 10 digits of the number you are calling.

What is the temporary password?

Your voice mail takes your messages automatically, with no action required on your part. To retrieve your messages, however, you should initialize it by

• Choosing a 4- to 15-digit password.
• Recording your name to identify your voice mail.
